Cocktail Party
A Cocktail Party can be a great birthday party or nice theme when having a group of friends over.
Decide on a dress code, either beach casual for that summer holiday feel or dress up a little for a more elegant evening. Whatever you decide the dress code to be, remember to put it on the invitation.
Create a drinks menu with recipes along with a short wine list. Make guests or couples responsible for a drink on the menu. They would need to bring the ingredients and anything else required to make the drink and then they would need to make and serve their drink.
This works best for small cocktail parties. For larger parties its best to supply most of the drinks yourself. If necessary you can collect money from all the guests.
Clear out a space for dancing and setup some chairs or sofas for lounging and chatting. With dance floors comes music, compile a list of dance music that you feel would best suit your party's mood.
