Make your own CD disco ball
It is tradition to have a mirrored ball at a disco party. If you are unable to buy or rent one, a CD disco ball is a good alternative. This is how you go about making your own CD disco ball:
- Ask your friends to give you all their old CDs. Different colored CDs can make a really funky looking CD ball
- From your local Styrofoam dealer obtain a Styrofoam ball. If you are unable to obtain a Styrofoam ball, any other ball or sphere will do
- Attach a string to the ball so that you can hang it up
- Cut up the old CDs into 1/2-inch or 1-centimeter squares
- Glue CD squares to the outside of the ball
- Hang up the CD covered ball above the disco floor
- Shine lights onto the ball, ideally multicolored lights
- All you need now is a disco party.
